ARCHIVED - 25 calls to emergency services about storm damage in the Region of Murcia this Tuesday
There were fires started by lightning strikes and road blockages in Murcia with the storms yesterday

The Emergency Coordination Centre received a total of 25 calls related to the rain and thunderstorms in the Region of Murcia yesterday afternoon and evening.
Up to 9pm on Tuesday June 21, the phone number 112 – which is the number to call in case of emergencies – received a dozen calls related to a forest fire which started due to lightning strikes in Jumilla, and there were five calls for obstacles on the road.
By municipalities, Jumilla was the most affected, with eleven calls. This was followed by Murcia and Cieza, with five each, and Lorca and Calasparra, with two each.
Lorca was the town which received the most rainfall yesterday, with 9.9mm falling between 6pm and midnight, and reports of a mini tornado.
The weather for the rest of the week is expected to be mainly settled, with no further weather warnings or thunderstorms.
