The CAM has its headquarters in this historic building, built in 1900 by the architect Victor Beltri, the man who designed many of the stylish modernista buildings which give Cartagena such an air of almost colonial elegance.
Casa Cervantes was the first of the buildings designed by Beltri to be constructed and was built for the important mining industrialist Serafín Cervantes.
It´s a striking and elegant building, shown here as a backdrop for the Semana santa processions.
Within the building is a very practical auditorium, used for concert performances and conferences, and the centre also counts with exhibition space and conference facilities.
The nearest parking is in the underground carpark in the port, or Calle Real is just as close. Click for Parking in Cartagena.
