The trusted Central Heating, Air Conditioning and water heater services company on Camposol continues to thrive, even as they come of age on the urbanisation
It has been a busy summer for the team at Camposol Heating & Maintenance (CHM). What with the uncharacteristic seven-week-long heatwave we had from early July this year until the end of August, with barely any respite at all, the team was kept working so hard with air conditioning and fully pumped, back-up water deposit systems that they almost didn’t realise it had been 18 years since they started up the business.
“This summer we seem to have been busier than ever,” said CHM’s Teresa Hicks. “Usually, we get a quieter period in September but this year it has not stopped and we are already starting to install and service central heating systems ready for the winter.
“It was not until we received a ‘Happy Birthday’ email from Informa that we realised that it was 18 years since we started the business and that we should celebrate the fact.”
Of course, it is never easy to be in business, anywhere in the world, and with the current situation of ever-increasing taxes and the cost of commodities, Teresa and the team are still on Camposol and proud to continue to serve the community.
“Our business has evolved over the years and we are still known best for our oil and gas central heating systems,” she said. “With no mains gas in many areas locally, oil is still the preferred option for central heating and hot water.”
The cost of oil is currently just over 1 euro per litre, which means it is a way to heat the home that is not too costly right now, a huge boon as we move closer to winter and the start of the cooler weather in Spain.
In preparation, CHM will be servicing boilers every Wednesday throughout October and have reminded their customers to please book theirs as soon as possible.
CHM also works on the installation of Junkers gas water heaters on an almost daily basis. Those homeowners on Camposol and in the surrounding area who do not have a central heating system and who want constant hot water find these units are still the best available as they run on either propane or butane gas.
CHM only deals with major manufacturers such as Junkers and Baxi because they are the most reliable for any after-sale backup services that may be required, even beyond the warranty period.
Teresa shared the secret to the company’s success for so many years in the local area: “We will not necessarily be the cheapest option when searching for a provider, but we still remain as competitive as possible whilst remaining legally registered for all our services including gas, oil and refrigerant gases.”
