ARCHIVED - Caravan parking lot fire in Los Alcazares
Firefighters from the Region of Murcia extinguished the blaze with no casualties
A fire broke out at a caravan parking lot in the municipality of Los Alcázares on Tuesday afternoon, November 16, though thankfully firefighters were able to extinguish the blaze and no one was hurt.
The Policía Local in Los Alcázares were alerted to the fire and, once at the scene, officers determined that the flames had originated in an electricity generator on the parking lot. They also made sure that no one was in danger.
Two firefighting teams were sent to the scene to extinguish the fire and the local police force later issued a recommendation to get to safety in the event of a fire as “material things can be replaced, but human lives cannot”.
Police officers in Los Alcázares also had to cordon off a flooded section of Calle Julián Romea on Tuesday night due to a burst water pipe.
