ARCHIVED - Cartagena medieval market to be replaced with urban market: November 19 to 21
The famous 13th century market is usually held in Cartagena in November
The local council in Cartagena have announced that the traditional medieval market usually held in November will not take place this year due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Instead the council has collaborated with Hormiga Hippy Market to organise an alternative urban market, which will aim to support local businesses and artisanal crafters.
Though many are sure to miss the 13th century-themed market, which is one of the largest and most popular in the Region of Murcia, there will be a wide range of artisanal products on offer at the new urban market which will be set up on Calle Duque and the José Hierro boulevard between November 19 and 21.
In addition, the council has also announced some of their Christmas itinerary, including a raffle for a car between December 17 and January 17.
