ARCHIVED - Cartagena town hall and Correos sign agreement to make council payments easier
Cartagena taxes, fees and public costs can now be paid via money order from any Post Office (Correos) in Spain
The postal service, Correos, and the Town Hall of Cartagena have signed an agreement to facilitate money orders to pay taxes, fees and public costs made from any Correos office in the country.
This service aims to make it easier for residents to make their obligatory payments to the council by providing another option through which to pay taxes.
This method will be available in all 2,393 Correos offices across Spain and Cartagena property owners will be able to make these payments during the normal opening hours of each office.
The agreement has a current duration of four years and will increase and improve the quality of services that both the postal service and the Town Hall of Cartagena provide though a mutual collaboration.
Some of the taxes and fees that can now be paid in Correos’ offices are IBI, Vehicle Circulation Tax, ICIO and construction, installation and building taxes. In addition, some urban planning fees can now be paid, such as for the occupation of public roads, issuance of documents, etc.
As this process constitutes a voluntary procedure, a set price of 1,95 euros has been established for any type of money order.
