The road, which links Cartagena with Mazarrón, Isla Plana and La Azohía, is open to traffic again
The Regional Ministry of Development and Infrastructures has reopened the Cedacero road (RM-E22), which links Cartagena with Mazarrón, Isla Plana and La Azohía.Vehicles are once again free to drive on this road as of this Wednesday, June 15, after work to improve safety in the section that collapsed during heavy rain in March was completed at a cost of 810,700 euros. The work consisted of the reconstruction of the road at kilometre 9.8, but the scope was later extended to include reinforcing the retaining walls at kilometre points 9.2 and 10.2 at the Mirador.Local motorists are hoping they have done a better job than just painting over the cracks like last time!Image 1: Google MapsImage 2: CARM
