ARCHIVED - Cloudy start to the week with spells of sunshine: Alicante weather watch February 28
Temperatures will remain unchanged with maximums of 20 degrees in parts of Alicante province
The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has forecast a cloudy start to the week in Alicante province, although skies are expected to clear towards the end of Monday February 28, with spells of sunshine.
As for rainfall, weak and isolated showers are not ruled out, particularly in northern coastal areas.
Temperatures will remain unchanged or with slight decreases in the minimum temperatures. Alicante city can expect minimum temperatures of 8ºC and highs of 17 ºC with light easterly winds on the coast and further inland.
Alcoy
Cloudy skies with minimum 4ºC and maximum temperatures of 13ºC.
Elche
Maximum temperatures in Elche could reach 17ºC today, whilst the minimum temperatures will be higher than in the rest of the province and Mercury is unlikely to drop below 6ºC.
Elda
Patchy cloud and temperatures of between 6ºC and 17ºC.
Denia
Temperatures will range between 8ºC and 17ºC. The skies, as in the rest of the Marina Alta, will be cloudy but clearer than in the rest of the province.
Orihuela
Cloud with temperatures of between 6ºC and 17ºC.
Torrevieja
Cloudy skies but clearer than in the rest of the province (except for the Marina Alta where the sun will also shine at some points during the day). Maximum temperatures could hit 20ºC, and are not expected to go below 11ºC.
