ARCHIVED - Costa Cálida temperatures remain around 30 at the weekend despite light showers on Sunday
Summer weather appears to be well established in Murcia after the unsettled weather of March and April
By 16.30 on Friday afternoon the temperature in the city of Murcia already reached almost 33 degrees, and even on the coast figures of over 25 were commonplace as the warmest day of the year so far brought the beaches to life all along the Costa Cálida.
These conditions look set to stay with us for a couple of days, according to Aemet, although during next week slightly cooler temperatures are to be expected. On Saturday, as mainly clear skies continue, the forecast is for maximums of between 25 degrees n Cartagena and 28 or 29 in inland areas, and although morning showers and a stiffening of the breeze are possible on Sunday the temperatures are expected to remain very similar, possibly edging above 30 again in the regional capital.
And with minimums on the coast already in the high teens, the lifting of the night-time curfew this weekend and the opening of bars and restaurants until midnight suddenly makes the prospect of an outdoor dinner a far more inviting one that it has been in recent months!
