Cultural centres and galleries in Cartagena Biblioteca Centro Cultural Ramón Alonso Luzzy
Calle Jacinto Benavente, 7
30203
Cartagena, Spain
Tel: 968 128858
Built in 1994, this building is a combination of library and cultural centre, hosting regular exhibitions in the downstairs gallery space and on the first floor.
The full library service includes internet access, wi-fi and a children's section.
Library opening hours
Monday to Friday 9.00 to 21.00
The building includes an auditorium and projection room which is home to the Hannibal Cinema Club, showing a range of international films in their native language on a seasonal basis.
It also houses various municipal offices including the La Mar de Musicas festival: tickets are sold on the second floor.
Location
The easiest orientation to give is that it is just behind the Rosell Hospital, on the road running parallel to the hospital. It is a distinctive building with a red brick façade.
There is plenty of parking around it, but the most reliable free options are the school opposite and the Ronda Ciudad La Unión road which runs alongside.
