Free activities for youngsters at the 4-day market in the town of Mazarrón
Over the long weekend of 8th to 11th December, and coinciding with the local Fiestas Patronales in Mazarrón, a medieval market is being held in the park in Calle Fuenterrabia, close to the La Aceña sports complex and pavilion.
The market opens on each of the four days at 11.00, and throughout the day there are a host of free activities offered by the Town Hall, including bouncy castles for the children, dancing, storytelling and others.
For the Friday and Saturday the following timetable has been established:
Friday December 9
17.30 to 18.30: The construction of a giant mural featuring a medieval castle.
17.30 to 18.30: Workshop to create puppets using recyclable materials, followed by a medieval-themed performance.
Saturday December 10
11.00 to 12.00: Workshop to create battle weapons using recycled materials.
11.00 to 12.00: Workshop involving traditional games dating from the Middle Ages.
12.00 to 13.00: Workshop to make medieval tambourines using recycled materials.
12.00 to 13.00: Medieval dance for all the family.
