ARCHIVED - Dog rescued from a burning house in Alcoy
The owners were not in the burning building, but the family dog was still trapped when firefighters arrived
Firefighters have rescued a dog that was inside a burning house in the Alicante town of Alcoy, as reported by the Provincial Fire Consortium of Alicante.
At 5.43pm on Saturday May 14, firefighters received a call alerting them to a fire on the fourth floor of a building on Calle Alicante in Alcoy, as well as the presence of a butane cylinder on the balcony.
Upon arriving at the scene, the firefighters confirmed that the people who lived there were not inside the building and bravely proceeded to evacuate a dog that was inside the house at the time.
The fire burned the entire hallway and part of the kitchen of the house, but thankfully in the end no one was injured, not even the lucky dog.
