ARCHIVED - Drunk driver four times over limit flips car in San Javier
The vehicle was left upside down on a San Javier street in the Region of Murcia
A drunk driver was involved in a serious car accident in the municipality of San Javier in the early hours of Tuesday morning, at around 1.30am.
After losing control of the vehicle and hitting the median strip, his car ended up upside down in the middle of the road, on Avenida Pinatar, near the Pitín football stadium.
Municipal police officers breathalysed the driver twice and found that he was four times over the legal alcohol limit in Spain: the breathalyser tests read at 0.93 and 0.95 mg/l, while the legal limit is 0.25 mg/l.
The driver was arrested for crimes against road safety and his vehicle was cleared from the road by using a crane.
