ARCHIVED - Emergency landing in Tenerife after baby became ill on flight from the UK
The pilot requested an immediate landing in Spain when the infant fell ill
A Jet2 plane travelling from Birmingham was forced to make an emergency landing on Tuesday September 13 when a baby became very ill on board.
On their official Twitter page, Air Traffic Controllers explained that the runway was cleared after the pilot requested to land immediately, and flight LS1293 approached the tarmac travelling in the opposite direction.

Emergency personnel met the passengers on the ground and the infant was brought to hospital. According to official reports, the baby has received medical treatment and is in a stable condition.
