ARCHIVED - Endesa announces power outages across Andalusia and Spain over the next 7 days
Energy supplier Endesa has warned of localised power cuts this week due to improvements to the grid
There will be temporary planned power outages in Andalucía this week in certain streets and towns as a result of planned repair works to the electrical system, utility company Endesa has said.
The works, which aim to “extend and improve the service network”, will also affect other parts of Spain, including towns in Catalonia, the Balearic and Canary Islands and parts of the Valencian Community (but not Alicante).
“The planning of the scheduled outage of the Distribution Centres is based on the standard operation of the network,” stated Endesa. “However, in order to ensure the physical safety of our operators, it may occasionally be necessary to carry out electrical manoeuvres that may require a brief disconnection at additional facilities.”
The exact times and places of the planned power cuts can be consulted on the Endesa website. Just enter the province, town and street where you live to find out if you will be affected and if so, when.
