ARCHIVED - Fire at Murcia scrapyard spreads to cars and huge palm trees
Spectacular images show the palms ablaze perilously close to dozens of scrapped vehicles at the yard in Murcia
A fire broke out in bushes at a scrapyard in the Murcia district of El Esparragal at around midday on Thursday June 23, and as impressive images from Bomberos Murcia clearly show, flames engulfed two huge palm trees and spread to several vehicles nearby.
Luckily, 14 Murcia firefighters equipped with three pumps were quickly on the scene to prevent the fire spreading further and there have been no reports of any injuries.
