Aemet predicts clear skies and plenty of sun in the Region of Murcia this weekend

It might only be the beginning of spring, but Murcia has been experiencing temperatures that many other regions would envy in the middle of summer. This coming weekend will be no exception: not a drop of rain is forecast and the State Meteorological Agency expects plenty of sunshine and temperatures topping 32ºC on Sunday.

Thursday March 23

Clear skies are expected across the Region of Murcia except along the coast, where it will likely become overcast and misty towards the end of the day. For now, the thermometers will remain much the same as earlier in the week with slight rises in places. A light, southerly breeze will be felt in the afternoon.

Caravaca de la Cruz: minimum 6ºC; maximum 27ºC

Cartagena: 9ºC; 20ºC

Lorca: 8ºC; 26ºC

Murcia: 8ºC; 28ºC

Yecla: 5ºC; 26ºC

Friday March 24

The mercury will begin to ramp up everywhere on Friday, with Murcia municipality hitting a sweltering 31ºC at the height of the day. The night will also be much warmer than in previous days. It will be mostly clear again with intervals of medium and high clouds, and light, southeasterly winds will be more noticeable inland and along the coast.

Caravaca de la Cruz: minimum 6ºC; maximum 27ºC

Cartagena: 9ºC; 20ºC

Lorca: 8ºC; 26ºC

Murcia: 8ºC; 28ºC

Yecla: 5ºC; 26ºC

Saturday March 25

Moving into the weekend proper, the Region of Murcia will enjoy a clear, bright day on Saturday. The temperatures will remain unchanged for the most part but could creep up along the coast, while the evening will be even warmer, the mercury rising to 15ºC in Murcia.

Caravaca de la Cruz: minimum 9ºC; maximum 29ºC

Cartagena: 15ºC; 25ºC

Lorca: 12ºC; 27ºC

Murcia: 15ºC; 29ºC

Yecla: 9ºC; 27ºC

Sunday March 26

Sunny skies will mark Sunday although a westerly breeze will intensify towards the afternoon. There will be little change to the night-time temperatures but the thermometers will jump up again during the day.

Caravaca de la Cruz: minimum 10ºC; maximum 28ºC

Cartagena: 13ºC; 23ºC

Lorca: 12ºC; 31ºC

Murcia: 14ºC; 32ºC

Yecla: 11ºC; 25ºC
