In Murcia ORA parking is free throughout August, but in Cartagena parking must be paid for in the mornings.
As the Spanish holiday season kicks into gear for August, parking in Murcia is generally easier to come by, and as is normal, Murcia City Council has announced that the blue zone of Ora parking will be free from Sunday, August 1 until Tuesday, August 31, all day every day, in the municipality of Murcia.These are the areas in which payment is normally taken for parking in the streets and are indicated by blue markings painted on the floor and the presence of a blue ticket machine.This year the arrangements are as follows:Murcia:The blue parking zones are FREE of charge throughout August regardless of the day or time.Lorca:The blue parking zones are FREE of charge throughout August regardless of the day or time.Paid parking is only between 9am and 2pm from Monday to Friday.All other times are free of charge.Please note; this does NOT apply to paid car parks such as the underground car parks in the major cities which are privately run and will continue to charge as normal.Image: Archive
