Go Solar golf competition 2025 results at Camposol
Despite some challenging weather, this month’s golf competition went off smoothly
The annual Go Solar golf competition took place this March at Camposol Golf Club, with players competing in two divisions in a Stableford format. Division A players played off the White Tees, while Division B players competed off the Red and Blue Tees.Despite the adverse weather conditions, the competition was well attended, with 33 participants in Division A and 14 in Division B. Thanks to the continued generous sponsorship from Go Solar, prizes were awarded to the top five places in Division A and the top three places in Division B. In addition to monetary prizes, both division winners were presented with the distinctive Go Solar trophy.
The winner of Division A was Eugene Toye, who claimed first place with 34 points. He was closely followed by Dennis Jones, also on 34 points, with Rob Greatley, Bill Donald, and Dave Mitchell taking third, fourth and fifth places respectively.
Division B saw Carolyn Harrison take first place with 30 points, with Paqui Martinez and Mags Rae finishing second and third respectively, each with 29 points.
There were also Nearest the Pin prizes awarded in each division. Ray Lyons and Denise Brown took the honours on Hole 3, while Steve Gill and Paqui Martínez won on Hole 5. On Hole 11, Martin Wilkins claimed the prize, and on Hole 13, Ian Pragnell and Hayley Barker came out on top.
The 2's pot winners were Jim Hall, Brad Keeling, Martin Wilkins and Pete Constable. All winners were congratulated on their efforts, with trophies presented by Go Solar.
The results from this competition will contribute towards the 2025 Order of Merit. Players are also reminded that all monthly competitions act as qualifiers for the Club Championships, scheduled for October.
