Andalucia, Murcia and the Valencia region are all expected to hit the high 30s this weekend.
Spain is set to reach temperatures similar to those seen during the summer across the country this weekend, with Murcia expected to reach highs of 37 degrees and Malaga 35 degrees.
According to meteorological service Meteored, the hot weather will take place following cooler temperatures today Friday, May 14, with showers in the northern half of the country and some areas of the Canary Islands.
From Saturday however, a combination of an Azores anticyclone and high pressure that will come across Spain will create warm winds and raise temperatures across the country, with peaks being seen in Jaen, Cordoba, Granada, Murcia, Valencia and Sevilla where temperatures are expected to exceed 30 degrees.
Northern regions of Galicia, Cantabria, Navarra, La Rioja and Castilla y Leon will be affected by some rain, while the rest of the country will see clear skies.
Similarly on Sunday, Galicia, Asturias, Cantabria, the Basque Country and Navarra will be the only regions to be affected by rain, while the south of the country will remain dry and with temperatures reaching highs of 37 degrees in Murcia, 35 degrees in Sevilla, and 34 in Valencia.
