Otters are known to be returning slowly to the River Segura, a couple of sightings having been reported as far downstream as the city of Murcia, and although it is extremely unlikely that those joining this walking tour will actually see any of them it offers a great chance to see this wonderful beauty spot where the species is known to be thriving.
The walk follows the path of “La Huertecica”, one of the highlights of the reserve which lies on the boundary between the municipalities of Calasparra and Moratalla.
The 4.4-kilometre route is described as being of low difficulty and is appropriate for both adults and children aged over 6. The event is scheduled to last from 10.00 to 13.30 and free registration is online here from May 3.
