Christmas is in full swing at La Palmera Bar & Grill in Estrella de Mar, Los Urrutias, and the popular venue has lined up four jam-packed months of entertainment, special offers and hearty meals to keep locals and visitors coming back for more.The bar continues its regular opening hours from 12 noon to midnight Tuesday to Sunday, closing only on Mondays and Christmas Day throughout the season.
For those recovering from New Year celebrations, La Palmera will be open as usual on January 1, serving up hangover-busting breakfasts and everything else you might need to start 2026 on the right foot.Weekly entertainment and special events January-March

- Tuesday: Quingo at 3pm
- Wednesday: Prize bingo at 3pm
- Thursday: Tapas-style free food on the bar for all drink-buying customers between 5pm and 7pm
- Friday: Happy hour from 5pm to 7pm with half-price draught beer, house wine and spirits, plus three-for-two on selected bottled beers. Don’t miss the Fishy Friday food special!
- Saturday: Super Saturday Soccer on large screens throughout the bar
- Sunday: The finest roast dinner in town, served with all the traditional trimmings
Dining options to suit every appetite
Those legendary Sunday roasts remain a cornerstone of La Palmera's menu. Choose from beef, pork, chicken or pre-ordered lamb shanks, all served with Yorkshire puddings, seasonal vegetables and rich gravy from just €9.95. Larger portions are available for those with heartier appetites.The €10 Menu del Dia runs Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday from 12 noon until 9pm. With regularly changing starters, mains and desserts, plus tea or coffee included, it’s excellent value for a proper sit-down meal.The smoked roast boards continue to draw crowds looking for something special to share. Available in 2 Bob, 3 Bob or 4 Bob sizes, these generous platters feature slow-smoked brisket, tender ribs, succulent chicken, roast potatoes, vegetables, Yorkshire puddings and luscious Guinness gravy.All-day breakfasts are served from 12 noon Tuesday to Saturday, perfect for late risers or those fancying something substantial any time of day. Lunch and evening meals run from 12pm to 9pm throughout the week.

Sunday roasts

Sundays at La Palmera are all about those incredible smoked roast boards that have become the stuff of local legend. The kitchen team slow-smokes succulent beef brisket, fall-off-the-bone ribs and tender chicken, then serves it all up on sharing platters alongside perfectly roasted potatoes and vegetables, fluffy Yorkshire puddings and rich Guinness gravy.
The boards come in three sizes: the 2 Bob Board at €33, the 3 Bob Board at €45 or go all out with the 4 Bob Board at €60.
Regular live entertainment

La Palmera knows how to keep the party going with their fantastic line-up of regular entertainment. You'll find silent discos where you can dance the night away to your own beat, live music that gets everyone singing along, and dance classes that are guaranteed to have you laughing and moving (even if you've got two left feet).
