ARCHIVED - Last day to sign up for female self defence classes in Jumilla
The free classes will run from June 6 to July 1 in the Murcia municipality of Jumilla
The Department of Social Policy and Equality in the City of Jumilla has scheduled a new edition of its Course on Self-Protection and Women’s Self-Defence that will run throughout the month of June.
The classes are completely free but places are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis so you’ll need to be quick, and registration is only available until close of business on Wednesday June 1.
The workshop, run by first dan black belt female self-defence specialist Raquel Guerrero, aims to teach women vital techniques to protect themselves in any situation that threatens their physical or psychological wellbeing.
It will run on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays between 10am and 12pm from June 6 to July 1, and classes will take place at the Carlos García Municipal Pavilion in Jumilla.
Registration is open to a maximum of 20 women, aged 16 and over, and can be made either in the General Registry or in the Centre for Social Services, Jumilla City Council.
