The piscina Ola Azul in Los Alcázares has finally re-opened just in time for the end of summer, after being closed since 2011, following an 800,000 euro make-over, financed by municipal water concessionary Levante de Aqualia.
The facilities have been almost completely remodelled, the re-make including the replacement of the flooring with an anti-slip surface; a children's playground with splash games; perimeter fencing; creation of an access ramp and handrail for people with reduced mobility; adaptation of changing rooms and adapted toilets and extension of the cafeteria terrace as well as complete redecoration and modernisation of the complex.
Free tickets for the coming weekend were issued but have already been claimed, so anyone wishing to use the complex must now pay for their entry.
