ARCHIVED - Man suffers heart attack while awaiting coronavirus vaccination in Murcia
The condition of the patient is described as stable in the Arrixaca hospital
The condition of a man who suffered a heart attack while queuing to receive his coronavirus vaccine in the city of Murcia on Tuesday morning is described as being stable, after he was rushed by ambulance to the Arrixaca hospital in El Palmar and underwent catheterization.
The incident happened at the Enrique Roca stadium (formerly known as the Nueva Condomina) in the northern outskirts of Murcia, where the man, belonging to the 75- to 79-year-old age group which is currently being vaccinated, had been given his vaccination appointment.
Tuesday once again saw long queues forming both at the Nueva Condomina and at the Palacio de los Deportes closer to the city centre, bringing about some criticism on social media sites, although the local health authorities maintain that waiting times at the Nueva Condomina were no longer than 10 minutes.
