The Blue Flag is one of the world’s most recognisable voluntary awards for beaches, certifying the cleanest, safest and most accessible beaches in the world.
This recognition for Mazarrón’s beaches comes just two weeks after six of them were also awarded the SICTED certificate for outstanding tourist quality.
Spain as a whole has more Blue Flag beaches than anywhere else in the world, with a total of 729 in 2022, which is 16 more than last year.
