ARCHIVED - Murcia reports 58 more Covid positives but the number of active cases drops
Two more fatalities take the Covid death toll in Murcia to 1,581
While Covid incidence rates continue their generalized upward trend in almost all of Spain as a fourth wave of infection threatens the country after the Easter holidays, in the Region of Murcia the increase continues to be a very gradual one, at least for the time being, and the latest daily update published by the regional health service of Murcia on Wednesday reports a further 58 new confirmed cases, bringing the total since the pandemic began to 109,440.
At the same time, the new positives were the result of 2,512 PCR tests, giving a low positivity rate of just 2.3 per cent, well below the 5 per cent threshold established by the WHO as an indicator that the situation is under control in general terms.
