ARCHIVED - Murcia scooter rider caught five times over the alcohol limit
The Murcia man was spotted by police when he fell off his scooter
One scooter user faces a hefty fine after he was caught with a blood alcohol level more than five times the legal limit on Tuesday July 12.
The Motorist Unit of the Local Police of Murcia spotted the infraction when the man fell off of the Personal Mobility Vehicle (VMP) while riding along the La Fama district.

Drivers of scooters are subject to the same drink driving laws as other motorists, but this wasn’t the man’s only mistake; his minor accident also occurred while he was riding the scooter on a footpath, another finable offence.
Traffic officers confiscated the scooter and the rider has been reported.
