Following a turbulent July which saw scorching heatwaves mixed with torrential rain and even hail, the thermometers have cooled considerably as Murcia entered August to make way for more comfortable temperatures in the coming days.
According to the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet), Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday will start out cloudy with a little morning mist, giving way to clear skies and gentle south-easterly breezes throughout the day.
As can be expected, inland areas will see the highest maximum temperatures this week, while coastal municipalities will be slightly cooler.
Between Tuesday and Thursday, maximum temperatures throughout the Region of Murcia will range from 30 to 37 degrees, while the evenings should be far more comfortable, with night-time temperatures going as low as 15 degrees in Yecla and Caravaca. Wednesday will be the warmest day with Caravaca, Lorca, Murcia and Yecla all expected to reach 37 degrees, with coastal Cartagena remaining at a balmy 30.
