New Camposol hospital becomes main sponsor for local football team
Mederi Salud - Hospital Guadalentín and the Club Deportivo Bala Azul football team sign agreement making hospital the main sponsor and medical services provider
Club Deportivo Bala Azul have signed a collaboration agreement with Mederi Salud - Hospital Guadalentín, Camposol which represents a significant step in the professionalisation process of the club.
The private hospital situated on the Camposol urbanisation opened its 24-hour emergency department in early August and is planning to open the rest of the departments including general medicine, surgery, nursing, cardiology, pneumology, gynaecology, dermatology, paediatrics and geriatrics, among others, along with radiodiagnostic equipment–TAC (CT Scan), ultrasound, X-rays, mammography, magnetic resonance (MRI scan) and analytics laboratory when the administrative procedure is completed.
The agreement represents a significant step in strengthening the football club's health and wellbeing infrastructure, ensuring that players have access to the highest quality medical care through the new Sports Medicine Unit of the Hospital del Guadalentín, a specialised service dedicated to the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of sports injuries.
This unit, designed with the highest technology and with a team of highly qualified professionals, is prepared to serve the players of the Bala Azul sports club, as well as other athletes of all levels and ages, from amateurs to elite athletes.
With this collaboration, the Mederi Salud Group - Hospital del Guadalentín and the Bala Azul Sports Club begin a new stage of joint work that promises to improve the quality of the medical service offered to the players and strengthen the sports health of the team.
The medical director of the Guadalentín Hospital, Yolanda Morales, has pointed out that "this agreement is the beginning of an interesting line of collaboration between the hospital's medical community and the players of the Bala Azul Sports Club, since with them we activate the different prevention and more specialised and complete medical care services within our Sports Medicine Unit. always with the aim of helping athletes reach their maximum performance in the safest way possible."
