This high profile golf tournament features a host of household names from the last couple of decades of European golf competing on the South Course at La Manga Club, with Markus Brier from Austria hoping to defend the title he won last year at Forest of Arden against some very stiff opposition.
The field includes pros such as event host Peter Baker (a previous Ryder Cup star and three-time winner of the European Tour), Ian Woosnam OBE, Paul Lawrie OBE, Michael Campbell, Thomas Bjorn, Barry Lane, Peter Fowler, Miguel Ángel Martin, José Manuel Carriles, Paul Broadhurst, Thomas Levet, Costantino Rocca, Jarmo Sandelin, Phillip Price, Joakim Haeggman, Des Smyth, Gary Wolstenholme, Philip Walton and many others, while among the amateurs taking part is Richard Hayes, a member of the prestigious La Quinta Club shared property complex.
