The official presentation has been made of the first “Green Motion” sustainable mobility show at the IFEPA venue in Torre Pacheco, which is being held over the weekend of October 7 to 9.
25 companies from the sector will be displaying their products and services in an area of 15,000 square meters, showcasing the latest in electric mobility, passenger cars and commercial vehicles with an ECO and ZERO emissions label, motorcycles, bicycles, scooters, etc, as well as related aspects such as charging points, carsharing, motor sharing, generation and distribution of renewable energy, as well as insurance and financial products.
This initiative features leading companies in the automotive and energy sectors, an exhibition of new developments in the sustainable mobility sector, informative spaces and test-drive areas. Among those taking part are Grupo Huertas, Tesla, Grupo Marcos, Grupo M. Gallego, Decathlon (with their electric scooters) and Terramóvil, and it is anticipated that around 11,000 people will visit the exhibition.
It has to be accepted that every year the excess use of the Earth’s resources is spiralling out of control with dire consequences for the environment, and that “sustainability” needs to become more than just a buzzword: it has to be a way of life, revolutionizing how we go about all of our activities. Transport is one of the areas where most advances are being made to address the problem, and major manufacturers in the sector are seeking to gain advantages over their competitors by being able to provide the greenest possible solutions at the most attractive price.
The aim of the Green Motion show, according to regional government minister Valle Miguélez, is to “bring the citizen closer to current trends in sustainable mobility, and to present the novelties and projects that will allow the green transition. We trust that this show will become a meeting point and benchmark for the sector, at the same time as opening up new business opportunities”.
The fair is open on October 7 and 8 from 10.30 to 20.30 and on October 9 from 10.30 to 19.30. Admission is free of charge as long as tickets are acquired in advance here.
