ARCHIVED - Renaissance Jumilla guided tours: June 5 and 18
Take a historical guided tour of Jumilla as it was in the Renaissance period
Jumilla’s Tourism Department has put together a programme of two guided tours of the town on Sunday June 5 and Saturday June 18, focusing on life as it was between the 14th and 17th centuries.
Taking in art, architecture and aspects of daily life in the town, this fascinating historical tour promises to be an educational and entertaining day out for visitors in a town that contains many historical buildings like the Jumilla Castle, as well as an Archaeological Museum, Ethnographic Museum and the prehistoric rock paintings in the caves of the Sierra de la Pedrera.
While you’re in Jumilla, take time to visit one or two of the local bodegas afterwards and enjoy lunch in one of the many restaurants serving local dishes, accompanied by good Jumilla wine.
The tour is in Spanish, but an audio guide in English is available by downloading the Jumilla 360 app. For more details, you can request information from the Jumilla Tourist Office.
Places on the Renaissance visit need to be reserved via the Tourist Office.
