An extra street will be opened up to traders in Cabo de Palos on December 4 to ease problems with loading and unloading
The first attempt to relocate the weekly market of Cabo de Palos on Sunday November 27 proved a failure, after vendors decided not to even set up their stalls due to problems with loading and unloading at the chosen location.
However, the Town Hall of Cartagena has reacted promptly a decision to extend the area of the market to include an extra street next week.
Councillor Juan Pedro Torralba reports that the problems arose at the weekend despite the revised location initially having been agreed with traders. He also claims that vendors were fully aware that the opening up of another Street alongside Calle Brezo would not be possible until December 4, and this will now go ahead as anticipated next Sunday.
Here’s hoping then, that locals and visitors in Cabo de Palos will be able to enjoy their Sunday morning shopping as usual on December 4!
