The Spanish government has decided to prolong the severe restrictions on people entering the country from Portugal, the UK, Brazil and South Africa, which will now remain in place at least until 18.00 on 16th March.
For British nationals, there are strict rules regarding the provision of PCR tests and completion of passenger arrival forms. Leisure travel is not permitted and only those with Spanish residency are permitted to enter from the UK.
In addition, the UK and Spanish governments have reached agreement that those who can prove that they are in the process of applying for residency may enter the country by providing specific documentation.

Following discussions with the Portuguese authorities the restrictions on crossing the border between Spain and Portugal will remain unchanged for the time being. This means that the border may be crossed only at certain points and at certain times, under the supervision of security forces.
