The weather at the moment is certainly not-typical for the middle of June and last night the minimum temperature in the municipality of Mazarrón was 24.9 degrees Celsius, making this not only the hottest place in the region last night, but also notching up the hottest night of the year so far.
Nights on which the temperatures do not drop below 20 degrees are referred to as “tropical nights” but Aemet went so far as to say the temperature in Mazarrón was “torrid”; those of us living near to the coast and close to the town will certainly agree that there were steamy scenes of sweating bodies in many a Mazarrón bedroom last night!
Aemet reports that several points in the Murcia region last night were “close to a minimum of 25 degrees overnight”.
