ARCHIVED - Teachers visit Oceanografic Valencia to bring the marine world to classrooms
Teachers from the Valencia region are learning more about the incredible marine life at the Costa Blanca's Oceanogràfic València aquarium.
Located in the avant-garde architectural complex of Ciutat de les Arts i les Ciències (City of Arts and Science), Oceanogràfic València aquarium is an incredible tribute to the planet's seas and oceans and is opening its doors to teachers so that they can bring the marine world to the region's classrooms.
One of the Costa Blanca's biggest attractions, Oceanogràfic València contains large aquariums which faithfully reproduce the most important marine ecosystems, making it ideal for both a fun and educational day our for all the family.
And today, Monday, May 17, a group of teachers visited the stunning facilities to find out more about the aquarium school's program of courses for 2021-2022.
During the day, the Aquarium Education Team, will come 'face-to-face' with sharks, giant tortoises, seahorses, jellyfish and Europe's only family of beluga whales, amongst other fascinating species.
"Visiting the Oceanogràfic is a unique experience. Everything is possible in this magical place," said the aquarium, the largest in Europe.
In addition to being a wonderful tourist attraction, its main objective is to actively promote the conservation of the seas and their inhabitants.
