ARCHIVED - Teulada invests 450,000 euros in organic waste bins
The Marina Alta municipality in Alicante province will renovate existing containers and install a fifth
Teulada Council is investing 450,000 euros in the renovation of organic waste bins in urbanisations across the municipality and the installation of a fifth kind of bin for organic waste.
The aim is to "improve the aesthetics" of the containers and make it easier for locals and visitors to dispose of organic waste which can be converted into a resource.
"The people of Teulada Moraira have always been an example to follow in terms of recycling, achieving top positions in the provincial ranking in recent years. In line with this, Teumo Serveis is continuing its commitment to recycling by promoting the organic section, which is already present in the two urban centres, improving the aesthetics of the existing containers and extending the service to various areas and housing estates in the town," explained councillor Héctor Morales Puigcerver.
