ARCHIVED - These are the 10 destinations you can fly to from Murcia Airport this autumn and winter 2022-23
Murcia loses more than half of its summer flight connections come November but it is an increase on the last winter season

This summer Murcia’s Corvera Airport had a total of 22 flight routes. Beginning in March 2022 and adding several new routes until June, the Murcia International Airport ran flight routes to 5 domestic destinations in Spain and 17 international ones.
Now, this winter season, starting in November 2022, the number of flight destinations is being reduced to 10.

These are the 10 destinations that you can fly to from Murcia Airport, and from which you can fly to Murcia, this winter season 2022/23:
- London Gatwick, United Kingdom (easyjet)
- Manchester, United Kingdom (Ryanair)
- Birmingham, United Kingdom (Ryanair)
- Dublin, Ireland (Ryanair)
- Antwerp, Belgium (TUI fly Belgium)
- Bruges Ostend, Belgium (TUI fly Belgium)
- Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Spain (Binter)
- Casablanca, Morrocco (Air Arabia)
- Oujda, Morrocco (Air Arabia)
- Luxor, Egypt (Chartered with SamaTravel)
This is an increase of two destinations compared with the 2021/22 winter season, with the addition of Dublin and Ostend.
The Dublin connection will be with Ryanair, and will become a year-round route as it was pre-pandemic.
Meanwhile, TUI fly Belgium is also making Ostend a new annual route, while maintaining its Antwerp line.
Travellers to and from London will be happy to know that easyJet is increasing its flights to and from Gatwick by almost 50% compared to last winter and is making the route a daily link for most of the season.
At the same time, starting in January 2023, there will be a direct charter flight from Murcia to Luxor, Egypt and from Cairo back to Murcia.
However, there will be no internal flights to any Spanish destinations apart from Las Palmas, despite an increase in the number of passengers on domestic routes this summer and the popularity of flights to Santander, Oviedo and Palma de Mallorca in Spain.
While there are no plans set in stone yet, Murcia airport hopes to add new daily routes to Madrid and Barcelona for the summer season 2023.
The airport claims it is going from strength to strength, steadily increasing its passenger numbers and picking up again after the lifting of Covid restrictions, but many people are still pining for the good old days of Murcia-San Javier airport!
