Pictures show just how successful the growing Moors and Christians festival is becoming in Jumilla
This weekend from Friday June 6 to Sunday 8, the northern Murcia town of Jumilla hosted its Moros y Cristianos fiesta, a festival which has a long history in the municipality, stretching back as far as 1614.In the early 2000s, the Jumilla Moors and Christians fiesta was included within the town’s annual fiestas in August, but as a result of Covid-19 were not held between 2019 and 2023.Now back for only its second year in a row since that hiatus, the Moors and Christians festival of Jumilla seems to be gearing up to be one of the major historical events in the Region of Murcia that visitors need to experience, as you can see in the photos below:
