ARCHIVED - Torrevieja craftsman attempts Guinness World Record for largest exhibition of miniature chairs
More than 4,100 miniature chairs will be exhibited at Torrevieja Municipal Leisure Centre on Friday May 27
For more than 25 years, Torrevieja craftsman Eladio Rivero Sánchez has been making miniature chairs and now plans to exhibit them in an attempt to beat the Guinness World Record for the largest and longest collection.
A total of 4,180 miniature chairs will be on public display at the Municipal Leisure Centre from 4pm to 8pm on Friday May 27.
A Guinness World Record judge will count, document and certify all the chairs on display and, if the record is achieved, will present Eladio Rivero with the official certificate.
The event will also be attended by Torrevieja's Councillor for Culture, Antonio Quesada, and Councillor for Elderly People and Citizen Participation, Inmaculada Montesinos.
