ARCHIVED - Torrevieja improves illumination in Plaza de Oriente
Two towers with four LED projectors will be installed to provide better lighting of this attractive public area in central Torrevieja
The department of Quality of Urban services from the Town Hall in Torrevieja will be improving the lighting in the Plaza de Oriente aquare, through a contract worth around 10,769 euros.
Two of the existing lights will be replaced and relocated to a different part of the Plaza. The new lighting will be provided by two 8-metre tall towers of galvanized steel with four projectors each: 8 adjustable projectors in total.
The project is part of a generalised push by the council to not only improve the lighting within the municipality but also substitute older lights with newer, more energy efficient installations, reducing energy consumption in the long-term.
The main focal point of this plaza is the striking Sagrado Corazón de Jesús parish church, which will be enhanced by the new lighting.
