The 2021 season of exhibitions at the Sala Verónicas venue in the city of Murcia begins on 12th February with the opening of “Tu vuelo, mis alas”, a collection of nine works created by the Yecla-born sculptor Lidó Rico.
In this exhibition Lidó Rico uses different formats to reflect on the status of contemporary man in current society, continuing his examination of the human body as a home to conflict.
José Ramón Lidó Rico was born in Yecla in 1968 and graduated from the faculty of Fine Arts at San Carlos in Valencia and then from the École Supérieure of Fine Art in Paris. Since then he has held over 100 exhibitions all over the world, and his works are included in numerous collections including those of the Museo Reina Sofía in Madrid, the Banco de España, the Museo Vasco de Arte Contemporáneo, the Shaikh Bin Khalifa collection in the UAE and the Pérez Simón collection in Mexico.
