ARCHIVED - Until June 30 SÃmbolo, 12 artists display their works at the Cartagena archaeological museum
The artists address the search for a universal iconography in their Cartagena exhibition
An exhibition featuring works by 12 Spanish and Italian artists is open to the public at the municipal archaeology museum of Cartagena until the end of June under the title “Símbolo”.
The exhibiting artists are four from Sardinia (Marco Pili, Maria Grazia Medda, Domenico D´Orsogna and Neuma Project, four from Campania, the area around Naples (Enzo Trepiccione, Vittorio Vanacore, Deborah Napolitano and Lucio Afeltra) and the four Spaniards Antonio Vidal Máiquez, Alberto Balaguer, Virginia Bernal and Salvador Torres. Each of them addresses three topics related to the search for a universal iconography under the headings of “Archetype and Archaeology”, “The Icon and Religion” and “A New Logo”.
The exhibition can be visited at the Museo Arqueológico Municipal Enrique Escudero Castro until June 30 with the following opening hours: Tuesday to Friday 10.00 to 14.00 and 17.00 to 20.00, weekends 11.00 to 14.00 only.
