ARCHIVED - Until May 29, KM 0 tapas and wine route in Jumilla
4 euros for a top tapa and a glass of the local wine at 10 Wine Route establishments in and around Jumilla
Great prizes on offer!
The KM 0 tapas route in Jumilla is being held by the Ruta del Vino from April 29 until May 29 this year, following a highly successful first edition of the event in 2020, just previous to the initial coronavirus lockdown, with each of 6 restaurants and 3 bars offering a specially prepared tapa accompanied by locally produced DOP Jumilla wines from the “bodegas” affiliated to the organization.
Each tapa is made from the typical local produce, and the price is set at 4 euros including a glass of wine.
This is an attractive offer in itself and a great way to enjoy a trip to the historic town in the north of the Region of Murcia, but in addition there are prizes for those who ask for a route map at any of the establishments taking part. With just three of the establishments stamping the map to show that the tapa has been consumed a complementary gift is earned (including hats, free tapa vouchers, cheese and tours of wineries), and those collecting all 10 stamps will be entered into a prize draw for a trip for two to another wine producing area of Spain – possibly Somontano in the foothills of the Pyrenees, although the details are yet to be finalized.
The establishments taking part are La Macarena, Casa Sebastiá, Tu Rincón, Reyes Católicos, San Agustín, Nuestro Bar, Venecia, Los 3 Soles and Ké Punto and El Parque in Ontur.
NOTE: the Km0 event is taking place ONLY at weekends: Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
