ARCHIVED - Vaccine appointments open to 15-year-olds in Andalusia
Those born in 2006 can now book their Covid jab in the Andalucía region
The vaccination campaign in Andalucía is continuing to advance and, as of Wednesday (August 4), 15-year-olds can book vaccine appointments in the region.
Appointments can be made on the Andalucía Health System website, ClicSalud+, on the mobile app, on the ‘Responsible Health’ phone number, 955 54 50 60, or at local health centres.
This age group, born in 2006, will be inoculated with Pfizer or Moderna, which are the two vaccines currently being administered in people aged up to 39.
Availability of the appointments depends on the doses available and, this week, Andalucía is set to receive 443,180 doses in total; 303,030 Pfizer jabs, 90,700 Moderna doses and 49,450 Janssen jabs.
In addition to the younger age groups, Andalucía is also trying to “recapture” over 40s who have not yet been vaccinated with mass vaccination days in all of the provinces, using the Janssen vaccine.
As well as vaccinating the population, the regional government in Andalucía has also imposed stricter measures, such as requiring Covid certificates to enter night clubs, this week.
