ARCHIVED - Weekend weather in the Costa Cálida: a cloudy start but clearing as temperatures reach over 30
Occasional showers possible on Friday and Saturday in Murcia before the sky clears
After the violent storm which caused localized flooding in some parts of the Region of Murcia on Thursday morning the weather over the weekend will be relatively settled, although with cloud cover forecast on Saturday there may be some light showers.
Aemet predict that Friday will be partly cloudy with the chance of the odd shower as maximum temperatures remain between 27 degrees in Yecla in the north of Murcia and 30 in the regional capital. On Saturday, though, the expectation is that the clouds will increase and there could be occasional storms before the air clears in the evening. Afternoon highs will remain largely unchanged, with minimums in the low 20s in both Murcia and Cartagena.
By Sunday, however, mostly clear skies are forecast despite the chance of showers inland during the afternoon, and with the likelihood of showers dying out by Monday maximums are forecast to reach around 29 degrees on the coast in Cartagena, 31 in Yecla and Lorca, 32 in Caravaca de la Cruz and 34 in the city of Murcia.
