ARCHIVED - 30 metro stations in Madrid advertise Almeria in push for tourism
Almeria city council is pushing to encourage tourism to the province in series of installations advertising the area in Madrid.
Following a major drop in the number of tourists visiting Andalucia during the pandemic, Almeria city council is trying to attract travellers back to the province with 50 adverts at 30 metro stations in Madrid.
The large-scale installations will be in place from June 15 to 28 in a bid to catch the eye of the millions of metro users looking to go away somewhere this summer.
The adverts will feature the slogan ‘Almeria, sure to see you, delighted to have you’ as well as a series of photos celebrating some of the province’s most famous attractions, including the Cabo de Gata.
The adverts will be located at some of Madrid’s busiest metro stations in an effort to drive tourism to Almeria.
The province is also hosting a series of cultural activities this summer as part of its bid to bring visitors back to the area, with festivals including Cooltural Go taking place this summer.
