A bright and sunny weekend for Murcia: Weather forecast September 21-24
It will be a mild, dry sort of weekend after the rainy episodes of late
The rain of earlier this week in the Region of Murcia begins to dry up as we approach the weekend, and gives way to bright sunny days to kick off the official start of autumn, with similar conditions forecast for next week.
On Thursday September 21 we can expect low cloud cover in the skies, with intervals of high clouds, according to the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet). There will be mist and fog in the Campo de Cartagena early in the morning, and winds blowing from the west inland and from the southwest on the coast, where they will be stronger.
It’s worth noting that for Thursday and Friday, the coastline of the neighbouring province of Almería will be on yellow alert for strong winds of up to 60kmh, but in Murcia the highest it will reach is 32kmh in the area around Cartagena.
Friday September 22 will be a bit more overcast with the possibility of light rainfall in the early morning inland and in the afternoon on the coast. Minimum temperatures at night will not change significantly but maximum temperatures will begin to drop a bit, which will be noticeable in the high-altitude northwestern parts of the Region.
For Saturday September 23 and Sunday 24, the weather forecast is for “Fair to clear skies”, with temperatures dropping ever so slightly once again to reach 26-27ºC during the afternoon. Light winds will blow from the northwest and the east.
These sunny and slightly cloudy conditions will persist into Monday and Tuesday next week, and while there won’t be any sharp drops in temperature, slowly but surely it is going to get cooler as the days and weeks go on.
