A wet and windy weekend: Murcia weekend weather forecast January 18-21
The high winds can be very dangerous, especially near the sea
It’s a very blustery end to the week, with some rainfall due in the Region of Murcia on Friday. The strong winds have already torn down tree branches and blown away corrugated metal fences in Lorca, sending them careening dangerously across the roads and slamming into buildings. Be careful out there this weekend!

On Thursday January 18, Murcia is holding out against the rain and will remain largely sunny, with a few scattered clouds. However, there is a yellow weather warning in place between 9am and 12pm for strong westerly winds of up to 70kmh in the northwest of the province, around Moratalla and Caravaca de la Cruz.

There is also a yellow warning on the coastline of the Region of Murcia on Friday 19, from 12 midday to 12 midnight, for southwesterly winds of 50-60kmh and waves up to 3 metres high. Friday will be a much cloudier day in general and it will start raining from around 1pm onwards and last into the evening.

While Saturday and Sunday will both be very overcast as well, the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has downgraded its prediction of rain and is forecasting temperatures of around 12-15ºC during the daytime and minimums of 3-8ºC at night.
For next week, it is expected to be much sunnier, with the heavy clouds blowing away, and temperatures will once again climb back above 20ºC by next Wednesday.
